Super Glue to the Rescue...

Poor Mickey fell and lost his ears last summer and has been sitting on a shelf in the shop, just waiting for his ears to be reattached to his little round head.  After all, who would recognize the famous mouse without his ears.

It wasn't too long before this dear little angel came to join MM on the shelf. She has been standing guard in the garden for years and was knocked over by squirrels or maybe by Lucy.  I found her one morning in pieces.

Unlike Humpty Dumpty, we were able to put both together again.  Mickey and the Angel will be again spending summer days in the yard.

  1. I wish I had some now, I have a torn fingernail and I hate to have to clip it off. (Fingers always feel so naked until the dang thing grows out again)

  5. Hi Pat, I am your newest follower. Thanks for visiting my blog. This blog post reminds me of a Willow Tree figurine I have (mother and son) and one day son dropped it and mother's head came off. I superglued it back on, but now mother loses her head at the slightest provocation. Maybe I need some stronger super glue. Also, a little glue leaked out on mother's head and now she has gray hair. Maybe the hole thing is really just like real life. Anyway, I also loved your daughter's idea about making candles from thrift store cups and saucers. I think I'll try that. Thanks for the idea! I look forward to enjoying more posts on your blog!
