It's not just a 3 day weekend...

As we head into this holiday weekend let us not forget...
Memorial Day, originally called Decoration
Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's
service. May we never forget the sacrifice so many Americans have made
defending our right to be free.

  1. Amen, indeed. My husband, Alan, had a grandfather who died in WWII, just days before it ended. His death caused a terrible hardship on his young wife and 3 children. In desperation, his widow remarried a man who was abusive to both her and Alan's father, who then struggled with his own issues when raising his own family.

It's amazing how just one lost life can cause generations of hardship. Then I think of all the many, many soldiers who we've lost in wars over the years, and how many families have been affected by it!

    Truly, freedom is not free!
