Spring Has Sprung

Had time today to notice that spring is certainly on its way after a winter to remember. These are the first jonquils to bloom every year, usually a full week before all the others. Last week the front yard was covered in snow crocus, but with the rain and getting ready for the craft show, I didn't get a chance to enjoy them. Found the purple crocus in the corner of the garden.

And although these are bulbs, I am reminded...
Who plants a seed beneath the sod and waits to see believes in God.

  1. Pat,

As a follow up to our conversation on the phone regarding jonquils and daffodils and which is which and who is who, I googled and here are some links... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissus_(plant) and http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-jonquils.htm .....so after reading it's as clear as mud, huh? LOL!

Anyway, the pictures as well as the flowers are lovely.

  3. My goodness, those are beautiful! Are you near to Washington, D.C? I work for a hospital there even though I live in Washington State. It seems like you all just had "snowmageddon" and now you have gorgeous spring flowers. ♥
