Hydrangea Forest, Japan

This amazing photo was found on Pinterest.  I thought I need to know more about this beautiful forest/garden in the photograph which was titled only Hydrangea Forest, Japan.  I've been searching but only found the information below.
Guess I'd better start rooting cuttings if I want to do this in my yard.

Hydrangeas of Michinoku Hydrangea Garden (Ichinoseki City)

For the month beginning in late June, hydrangeas bloom brightly in the cedar forests of Ichinoseki. Stroll 1.5 km of walking paths and enjoy 20,000 flowers representing 200 varieties of hydrangea.

Dates: Late June – Late July

  1. Gorgeous, but I would not want to be the one who deadheads it all!

  2. Oh my gosh I had no idea they grew like this. This pic is just amazing and their gorgeous flowers.
Always been my favorite but not until this past spring did I try them here on the North Forty. I have mine in pots but I think maybe I should find the prefect place for them.
How are you dear friend. I love love when you come by and say hello.
In answer to your comment it is the best thing in the world to have life long friends. I actually don't remember life without them. I am blessed.
Have a wonderful weekend and take care
    Love
