The Real Mom Mom...

My grandchildren are very fortunate to have 4 grandmothers who love them.  There is Chad's Mom and his Grandmother, my Mother and me.  Three of us are Mom Moms.  I wanted to be Mom Mom because my Grandmothers were Mom Mom to me and my brother and sister.  My daughters called my Mother Mom Mom.

A 3 1/2 year old boy has decided how to tell the difference when he talks about his Mom Moms.  Early on, Chad's Grandmother became Mom Mom Meyers.  My Mom did not want to be called Great Mom Mom, I think it made her feel old.   D started calling her Mom Mom Mom which she loves.  I was just plain old Mom Mom.  But this week I have become
"The Real Mom Mom".

What could be better than that?

Gramps made this great sign for me.

  1. That's cute! One of my DIL was teaching the grandchildren to call me Grandmother. I put a stop to that! I couldn't feel the love there...
Now I'm plain old Grandma to some and Grandma Sharon for those that need to make a distinction. ;-)

  2. Wow! That's just about the best compliment a grandchild could give you.
