A Saturday filled with the Littles

Early morning indoor soccer game with
our oldest grandlittle.

He had lots of family rooting for him...

including cousin Dumplin' and sister Riah.
Go Number 4!

Lou and I got to babysit the Dumplin'
after the game for a few hours.
How much love can this Mom Mom's heart take?
Later in the afternoon we took the older children to
Angel Park which opened in the summer.
It's very close to home and the kids loved it.
We will be making a return visit soon.

Needless to say, Gramps and Mom Mom
had no trouble falling asleep on Saturday night.

A Little Bit of Love...

I found this little tree on sale right before Christmas.
Didn't get to use it for long,
so instead of packing it away
with the other decorations,
I turned it onto a tree of love for Valentines Day.
I just love the teeny, tiny lights that
I found to use on the tree.
The sign is now available on the website.

Tuesday Trip...

Lou and I needed to make a run to
Reading, PA to pick up 1
1/4 inch wood
that we use to for the stacking blocks we make.
Usually we have the wood for our signs delivered,
but as this was just one sheet,
we decide to go and get it and combine
this trip to visit my 96 year old aunt,
who lives in Lebanon, PA.

Gray day, but the trip along the Pennsylvania
 backroads from Reading to Lebanon
was still
a lovely ride.

We had a wonderful visit with my Aunt Ruth,
who is my Dad's sister.
She is living with her son, Mark and his wife.
We caught up on family news and traveled down
memory lane talking about
my Grandmother and her life.
Ruth had memories of her life as a child
and helped me connect family members.
I have been working on our family story
and had names popping up in my search
that I wasn't sure of.
I had also come across some information
that she was not aware of in my search.

It was wonderful visit.
Hoping the next time my Mom
will feel well enough to make the trip with us.

No snow...

but we did have ice on Saturday.

The table on the patio glittered.

The top of the table is the register cover which
is from the house where I grew up.
The bottom is an old Singer sewing machine base

There were some visitors to the bird feeders
this weekend.

And then, on Sunday morning,
I heard this this fellow before I saw him,
a pileated woodpecker.
Isn't he a beauty? and take a look at
the hole he put in that tree.

All you need is Love...

My little love with our new Love sign...
Can't believe I took this photo
outside just a few days ago,
no coats needed,
but a tutu was a necessity!

Today we're having sleet and snow.

An 8x8 inch worn look, painted wooden sign
with a hand stenciled crimson heart.

Just in time for Valentine's Day
now on the website

Time in the Winter Garden...

Searching for some Color...
any color but gray.

Some bright moss greens putting on a show.

And of course the always growing ivy
which I try so hard to get rid of every summer
 but am maybe???
happy to see its veined leaves
when everything else is gray.

A few fern fronds are peeking
out through the leaves.

The best color found however is the lovely red
of berries on the bushes in front
 of the Workshop.

Doing the things...

A busy day for me...
Lots of "things" to do in the Workshop today.
Hoping the coffee helps!

Dumplin' Day...

It was a day with the Dumplin' yesterday.

The littlest of our Littles

just loves cars, trucks and
books about cars and trucks.

Gramps found him this red Camaro
and he carries it around with him everywhere.
One day his Gramps will have to tell Dumplin'
the story of how he married me so
he could get his hands on my 68 Camaro.

and Lucy...he also loves Lucy!

I Love Lucy...

Heading back to the house from
the Workshop this afternoon.
The Lucy look I got when
I wasn't moving fast enough.
"Hey Mom, it's cold out here! You coming?"
