Truly A Little Bit Irish...

Although on St Patrick's Day everyone is Irish,
I can claim my Irish DNA from my
Great Great Grandparents William and Maggie.
William Dorsey came to America from Ireland
with his parents and brother in 1845
when he was one year old.
Maggie Harper was born in 1850
and came America in 1860.
Both families settled in Baltimore, MD.
Maggie and William were married in 1869
 and had 7 children.

A Little Bit of Stella...

We were very lucky here in our little corner.
The predicted 8-14 inches of snow did not happen.
I am very grateful for that.  

 We did have about 4 inches 

that was squished into about 2 when the snow
turned to sleet.

Now that mess is solid ice...
Our Lucy Girl is walking (slipping)
on this skating rink that is our back yard.  

With the below freezing temps today
this isn't melting.
I can not get up the hill to the Workshop.
I have been begging for years for a set of stairs
with a railing between the lower yard
and the upper yard that would be easier
to clear the snow/ice off.

Okay...for those of you with so much
more accumulation from this
crazy woman Stella,
 I know I'm sounding like
a whining ninny.

But it really does makes me feel better.
