We raked leaves in the fall and again on Monday had just as many to remove from the gardens and all the places in the yard where the wind had piled them up over the winter. This morning, while out with Lucy I noticed all the little tips of green popping up that had been hidden by the leaves.
I have lots of violets growing in the grass in my yard every spring and always look forward to seeing their little purple faces blooming. The husband calls them weeds...I call them lovelies.
I love these little violets. They're very cheerful, sweet, and the first sign of spring. Bless them.
ReplyDeleteI love them too. And purple is a favorite color of mine.
ReplyDeleteMy kids always brought me bouquets of violets. I have them in my yard on the side of the house. I used to have yellow ones at my other house.
