Blueberry Muffins...

Good Morning Friends...

Woke up earlier than normal and put on the coffee.
I decided I'd better use the blueberries
I had gotten on Sunday.  Muffins were baked.
Lou was surprised.
..
we usually fend for ourselves
for breakfast on weekdays.

Don't get use to it Dear...

I Love Mickeys

Found these cute Mickey Mouse shirts on zulily.com for the grandkids.  Love that website as I find great items for the children and sometimes for myself.

However I ordered canvas shoes for the children...spiderman for Dylan and hearts for Riah.  The spidy shoes are size 9 toddler...the heart shoes are supposed to be 4 toddler and are marked as 4T.  Someone made a boo boo.  Zulily is always quick to take care of a problem and will credit me I'm sure.

Appears this may be the last day of our upper 90 degree days...it been a scorcher week.  Summer in Maryland. We did have a storm roll through last night and the temps dropped into the mid 70's.  However a bit south of us, in areas that didn't get that rain,
it was still 88 degrees at 11pm.

Hoping you all are keeping cool and have a wonderful weekend.

Heat Wave...

Coffee on the porch this morning...
watering the gardens early as temps will again be in the high 90's

Yes summer has truly descended on us this week...

We have a visitor with us for a couple of weeks...
Photo of our Lucy with Callie Lou, my brother's pup.
He and his wife are traveling (in this heat) on their Harley.

Covered Bridge of Baltimore County

Yesterday morning I took my Mother to the bank, grocery store and drug store.  This is a new adventure for the two of us as she has recently moved into an apartment in a retirement community.  When she moved from her old apartment to this new place, she decided to give up her car. Really glad she decided to do this because I wasn't looking forward having to tell her in a few years that she would have to stop driving.

When I returned home, Lou decided we should grab some lunch before heading up to the shop.  After a lunch of crab cake sandwiches, we took a round about way home.  This route took us over the
Jericho Covered Bridge.

The Jericho Covered Bridge in Harford/Baltimore Counties, Maryland
This Bowstring and Howe Truss Bridge was built between 1850 and 1860 and
is  located on Jericho Road on the Harford/Baltimore County Line in Maryland.
This  bridge is 88 feet long and 14.7 feet wide and is
one of six covered bridges in MD

I have to wonder if Larry and Linda are still together

Perhaps a Singing Bird Will Come...

Weeks ago I found a cardinal had made her nest in one of our rosebushes.  I was able to get this photo of her sitting on her eggs without scaring her away.

I didn't pay too much attention after that but this week thought
I'd take a look and found two unhatched eggs.

I have to wonder what happened to Mama Bird.
